How It Works

Driving heavy machinery is easier than you think! You’ll learn to operate the two joystick controls and follow your instructor’s guidance. You don’t even need a driver’s license!
Your activity includes a brief safety class, expert instruction, graduation ceremony, and an hour of operating time.
You’re connected via wireless headset with your instructor during operation, who will guide you through your Dig. For 2-3 people, you’ll experience a side-by-side experience with wireless headset communication together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a driver's license?

Nope, no driving experience is required!

Is the equipment air-conditioned or heated?

Absolutely! Our machines are fully climate-controlled, so no matter what the Vegas weather is doing, you’ll stay comfortably cool in the summer months.

Can my friends and family come to watch?

Yes! Of course! We have two dedicated areas for spectators to watch and take photos. Bring your sisters, cousins, uncles, and best friend if you’d like! The more the merrier! Plus, you need someone to vouch for you that you actually operated heavy equipment while in Las Vegas!

Can we split the time on a Big Dig?

No. Only one person per Big Dig. We have really cool tasks for you to perform, and once you’re on the machine, you won’t want to share anymore!

What is your cancellation policy?

Need to cancel your reservation at Dig This? We get it. Plans can change.

You have the option to reschedule for a different date or time of your choosing; simply contact us at least 24 hours notice prior to the start of your reserved Dig Time.
Alternatively, convert your booking into a gift certificate worth the full value paid and choose a later date and time within one year from the original Dig Time.
If you prefer to cancel, these are our policies:

Standard Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. No refunds. As a one time courtesy, customers may rebook to a different tour / activity up to 48 hours prior to the activity start time.

Flexible Cancellations
If you purchased Trip Cancellation Protection at the time of booking, you can cancel and for any reason up to 24 hours before activity start time. You will be issued a no questions asked refund minus processing fees.

Refunds

Had an ABSOLUTE BLAST demoing an excavator! After some brief instruction, you’re off to the races in an immersive learning experience by digging, stacking tires, and capturing basketballs. So much thought must have gone into planning such a fun series of exercises. You’ll operate from our fleet of four Excavator models. The 313FL model weighs in at 33,000 lbs. and 92 horsepower. The 315CL model is 36,000 lbs and 115 horsepower. Then you will operate either of our two Caterpillar D5K Track-Type Bulldozers weighing in at 21,000+ lbs. And 96 horsepower!
